Raw Inland Salt
Inland salt produced by solar evaporation of underground brine is sold for edible as well
as industrial purpose. The salt farmers require a working capital assistance of Rs.50,000
to Rs.60,000 for the entire production cycle. At present it is provided by the middleman
at explotative rates of interest. SGMH is to provide working capital assistance to the
salt farmers at a minimum service charge to be able to break the explotative middleman
nexus.
